The Director of the NCTC, Dr. Rosalind Nyawira, held a meeting with Mina Noor , the Special Envoy of the Netherlands for Counterterrorism. They discussed the review of the National Strategy to Counter Violent Extremism and the new priority areas in it. Additionally, they also discussed ways to enhance cooperation on CVE initiatives within the region. The director thanked the Dutch government for supporting CVE programmes in Kenya and called for more engagement between the two governments. Mina Noor congratulated Kenya for successfully hosting the Global Counterterrorism Forum coordinating committee meeting in Nairobi and expressed support for enhanced cooperation in PCVE matters. The two officials thereafter signed an MOU on cooperation in prevention and countering VE.
